We use a high temperature plasma (8000 - 10,000 ºC) to superheat the rare earth containing particulate material (Rare Earth Elements, REE). This action dissociates the particles into pure elemental form particles, which then rapidly recombine into altered chemical compounds upon cooling, making separation, dissolution and other physio-chemical actions easier.
